Capture important voices for playback
When it comes to portable electronic gadgets, thin is always in. We constantly want to see our electronics becoming lighter, smaller and thinner so that we can have the justification to buy a shiny new toy. Yes, new features are always nice – but what we really want is a gadget so thin it will blow the mind of anyone who even gets a passing glance of it.
This credit card size digital voice recorder measures in at just 6.5 millimeters in thickness and features 1GB of built-in storage, a flip-out USB connector, and flush-mounted controls. It can also be used as a MP3 player and USB flash drive. It records in high quality WAV file format and files can be easily copied or deleted just as with a standard USB storage device. Convenient and highly portable design mean you can take it with you just about anywhere with minimum hassle.
With only 36g weight the Ultra-thin Digital Voice Recorder offers a 69-hour recording time and built-in Li-Ion battery that is rechargeable via USB connection.

The Fizz – Screw-on Ice Cream Float Cup
by Steve
Friday, January 04, 2008
The Fizz is a plastic cup that screws on to a plastic PET bottle allowing you to create a mobile ice cream float.
Once you screw the cup to a bottle, fill it up with ice cream, then insert a straw, and finally, squeeze the bottle. This fills the cup with soda, allowing you to sip out a mixture of ice cream and soda.
The cup is reusable, but not dishwasher safe.

Pancakes from an Aerosol Can
by Steve
Thursday, October 25, 2007
Batter Blaster is probably going to change the way pancake batter is sold.
This probably needs little explanation: just shake the can, point it to a hot griddle, and push on the nozzle.
Not sure why this hasn’t been thought of earlier.
The nutrition label says each can contains 8 servings, and it’s carries the USDA “Organic” stamp.
The Batter Blaster website comes with a video showing you how to use this. It also has instructions on how to cook pancakes.
There’s also a store locator, but I couldn’t find any stores sellings this in the Southern California area where I live. So I typed in a San Francisco zip code (94102), where the company is located, and a bunch of stores came up.

Breakfast Cereal for Dogs
by Steve
Friday, December 30, 2005
Bow Wow Breakfast Cereal for Dogs is a new line of dog food intended for morning consumption. The company that makes it claims it’s specifically formulated to meet a dog’s needs in the morning.
I’m not sure specifically what a dog’s needs are in the morning. I find my dogs often need to poop in the morning, maybe that’s what it means.
They have six varieties in all, including:
- Barkfast Squares
- Chompions
- Chewa-Bunga
- Fido Flakes
- Grrr-nola
- Pooch-Cheez
ZAP Smart Car
by Steve
Tuesday, July 26, 2005
A company called ZAP (Zero Air Pollution), has produced a version of its ZAP Car for the United States, called the “Smart Car“.
The ZAP Cars have been selling well in Europe for some time, which caused the company to develop a version that meets American standards. Just last week the European-made cars entered the United States on their way to dealers throughout the nation.
The Smart Car is still a gas-powered vehicle, however. It has a rear-mounted 3-cylinder turbo engine producing 60 horse power. It has a six-speed automatic transmission, and an 8.7 gallon fuel capacity.
I couldn’t find any specifics on the company website as to specifically what kind of gas-mileage one would expect from a Smart Car. But I’m sure it’s probably pretty good.
